Locations
Tempting Fates was filmed in Norwich and Lowestoft. The main location was Norwich City College where the cast and crew also stayed during the six weeks of rehearsals and filming. For a full list of details and more locations see below:

Norwich City College – www.ccn.ac.uk
This was where the majority of the filming took place. The Apprentice Fates were living in the campus accommodation in Southwell Lodge along with the cast and crew. Scenes filmed in Morgan’s lab, the Dean’s office, the café, the club, party scenes, bedrooms and kitchen, radio station, drama studio and all the corridor scenes were shot around campus. See the campus map for more details.
The Marquis of Lorne pub in Lowestoft is where all the pub scenes were shot. Unsigned bands were featured either on the pub stage or as part of the soundtrack. You can read more about the bands and their music on the ‘Music’ page of this website.

Lowestoft Beach and ASDA – Episode 1 features scenes filmed at ASDA in Lowestoft and around Lowestoft beach, including the scenes filmed with the Extremo and the trolley on the hill. The cast and crew went out to Lowestoft for these filming days and some of the cast even found time to have a quick trip to the beach between scenes.

The Student House – The student band house used in Episode 3 which was rented for the day is based just off Unthank Road in Norwich. It is an actual student house with 11 bedrooms!
EPIC studios – www.epic-tv.org
The ‘Celestial TV’ studio was filmed in EPIC studios on Magdalen Street, Norwich. A virtual studio with a blue screen was used in order to create our own ‘out of this world’ set. The scenes shot here at the beginning and end of the series were the only ones where professional studio cameras and recording techniques were used, and the actors were not filming themselves.
